From MXA Mag:
GLOVER AND HANNAH
If a rider is in a close points battle, having a teammate move over can gain him
valuable points that would make a difference at the end of the year. This was
the case with the infamous "Let Broc Bye" strategy that Yamaha used in
1977 at the San Antonio 125 National. If Bob Hannah hadn’t slowed down and let
Broc by, Team Suzuki’s Danny LaPorte would have won the 1977 125 National
crown. What made Yamaha’s team tactics egregious, is that they wrote it down
on the pit board (and Jody shot the famous photo).
(Yamaha's Keith McCarty had two misspellings in three words.)
