About me: I
was born and raised in Eastern Oregon, residing in LaGrande and Baker City. I am
married to Lizz Green, for 22 years now, and have four wonderful kids, which all
are involved in the motorcycle community. Our family spent the majority of 2003
building single track trails, installing creek crossings and cattle guards at t
the Heppner OHV Park and initiating the Reload Ridge Riders. After moving to
Molalla, Oregon in 2004 I joined Lobos MC. I am currently a superintendent for
an excavation firm.
My favorite riding area:
Virtue flats, Baker City.
My first bike/ATV:
1983 CR 125 – My father forbid me to have a motorcycle, so the day I turned 18
was the day I bought my first bike. It is still my passion to this day, along
with my brother and my immediate families!
When I first started riding:
I started riding when I was 18. Not long after I started riding, I met a friend
who introduced me to the OMRA competition desert series in 1986. I raced my
first race at Durkee, Oregon.
My riding experience: I
have ridden many different races, courses, trails, and roads, on every kind of
bike from an ’83 Honda to a ‘06 KTM 575 and even a Honda Goldwing.
My favorite saying: “Rise and Shine, it’s dirt bike time”
Why I became an OMRA Officer:
The OMRA has been in my life since the mid ‘80’s and I felt it was time for me
to give back to the sport that has given me so much pleasure.
I'd also like to say: There
is a time and place for everything. I would encourage you to take the time, with
your family to contact your local OMRA club and give back to the sport that has
given everything. Volunteer to clear trails, write letters, and do what ever is
asked to ensure our right to ride is sustained and remains an important family
recreation.
