Goooooood Moorrrnnning Dirt Slinggggeeerrrrs,

Myself and another gent are going for a ride this Friday evening and maybe into the early night in the Upper Nestucca OHV Riding Area. We will be stagging out of Elk Flats around 5:30 PM and we will see how the ride progresses.

You are invited to tag along if you like. I hope to cover 40 - 50 miles before we are done.

So you may be asking why a ride so late on Firday??? Well first of all it is fun and a little cooler! Second, I am putting on a work party to repair trails Saturday, so I will be spending the night up there. The work party starts tothe west of Elk Flats on top of the ridge. Look for a green Dodge pickup with a big trailer ont he back . I will be hauling up an excavator and tools to work the trails. PLease come and help, the more the merrier.

If you have a map of the area, we will be start working on trails: 91 (Keith and Brads), 56 Blueberry) and 57 (Butch's cutoff), in that order. Depending on how fast the work goes, we may move from there to, I am not sure yet.

Call me by Friday mid morning if you would like to go ride, help with trail work, or both. Razz ride

I will be up Saturday morning. Would have loved to ride Friday night, but an easy money job came in today so I am going to finish it rather then taking off early.

Buddy tell your daughter " Happy Birth Day"

Kevin,

We will be starting on trail 91. This trail start off the gravel road that leaves Elk Flats on the east side and heads north. Your best bet to find us is where trail 91 crosses the pavement about 1/4 mile north of Elk Flats turn off, as we will cross there. We will not be staying in anyone spot for very long as the excavator moves right along.

We will then be going up Old Bald Mountain road where trail 91 tops out and then head north up trails 56 and 57. Old Bald Mountain road starts on the west side of the Elk Flats turn off.

Depending on how many people show up I will send some done to brush back and do some hand work on tails 54 and 53. Trail 54 heads south out of Elk Flats.

No cell coverage up there.

Be good to see you,
Lance
